When I started in this business I truly did not know what to expect or much less what I was doing. I just knew entertainment was my calling and the industry to which I belonged. What I do know is from my very first job back in November of 2007 until now, it’s all been pretty exciting. I’ve often tweeted, instagramed, and facebooked, how happy it makes me when I’m in my element whether it’s on set shooting a commercial, doing a photo shoot for a big company or hosting a talk show – I simply love doing it all.
Already I’ve had two extremely memorable red carpet events this year. First, the conference in Oklahoma in March as a panelist speaking to over 200 people on the topic of “success”. Even though the actual experience is over, so much more has come out of it but I will share at a later time. I’m thoroughly convinced that attending this conference has forever changed the course of my life. Typing that gave me goose bumps.
Secondly, the feature film Breaking Point, a movie that I had a small role in was shot last year, had its premiere and red carpet event this past Sunday at the Universal City Walk Movie Theater. The support and the turnout was overwhelming. Watching my scene on the big screen was so surreal. It was literally at the end of the movie. I held my breath the entire time while watching (I usually have a difficult time watching myself on screen most actors do), only to realize I had done something so significant in my short career as an actress – I was on THE big screen! I’ve seen my name roll in the credits before but seeing it at the theater on THE big screen was trance-like yet exciting.
